Help!

This is an urgent cry for help. I wanted to start blogging the lives of my sims because I was inspired by the many talented sim bloggers out there (ie. mandie, mao, and kara). Alas I am too scared to even make my first post. I have had problems with my computer too. I almost lost my pixel dollies when my computer crashed. I am writing this to ask for help. I want to overcome my shyness and fear. Please post comments if you have any encouraging words.

Thank you.

The Coriandt Family

SGTV's House Those Sims Contest

Coriandt Family Picture

Hello. I'm Aaron Coriandt and this is my family. We have outgrown our current home and desperately need a bigger home and that is why Elia and I wanted to apply for this opportunity.

There are seven of us; me Aaron (40), my wife Elia (36), our sons Eric (17), Andrew (15), the twins Justin and Jakob (10) and little girl Safiya (2).

Our Home

Well this is our home. It looks quite cozy but it feels like we are sardines packed in the tiniest can. It was all we could afford when we moved but Elia and I have been working very hard. We have both received bonuses in our respective careers and dear Elia recently received a large inheritance from her father. We have §115,000 of which we hope to spend no more than §95,000 on our new home.

Fun loving family

Aaron: I'm sure you would like to know more about us. I was recruited by Simco Brush Company and am now one of their most successful field sales representatives. I am a very family oriented sim and think that a spacious home would be best for us. We can be quite playful as you can see so an open plan living-dining room and large backyard would be ideal.

Happy Couple

Elia: Five bedrooms would be great but I think we could survive with only 4 if we had to. When comes to bathrooms, 3.5 would be an absolute must. We currently have 1 *shudders*. I'd like a neutral color scheme like khaki, chocolate and peach for the house. Definitely no green. I get enough of that at the hospital. In case you're wondering, I work as a nurse at Urgent SimCare Clinic. Whoever said green was a soothing color, must have been seriously warped.

Eric- the oldest

Eric: *groans* Mama please don't say warped. Hi there, my name is Eric. I work as an orderly at Urgent SimCare Clinic. I hope to someday become Chief of staff at the clinic. I'll be going to university soon so I'd like to have a room of my own. A room where I have space for a study area. My favorite color is dark blue and I really like science. If I could, I'd like to decorate my room like a science lab.

Andrew- Second oldest

Andrew: *yawns* Eric that sounds like a lame room. Now my room would be awe-inspiring. I like bright colors. I don't have any specific colors in mind so go wild. I am a King when it comes to winning Myshuno. Maybe you can take some cues from that. My room doesn't have to be very big or extremely styled either. I spend most of my time with my friends at Pinky's Bowling Club. Now that is a flashy place; a bowling lane would be a cool thing to have in my room although I'm sure mom wouldn't agree to that. A game room for the whole family would be awesome. Then I wouldn't I have to go downtown to have fun with my friends. Oh well, I'm sure whatever you come up with will be great. See ya.

The twins and baby

Justin: Hi. *waves enthusiastically* Um.. My favorite color is brown and I think Jake likes the color red.

Jakob: No I don't. I like blue.

Justin: Sorry Jake. I thought you liked red. Well, Jake and I really like playing cops n' robbers and jumping on the bed.

Jakob: Mom said we can get some new toys when we move. I want that new game... uh. whats it called.

Justin: The Simmerstation 2000. Ooo I want that too. Mom won't let us keep that in our room though. Oh yeah we were supposed to tell you what we'd like in our new room. Two beds of course.

Jakob: Duh. Sometimes we like to dress up like pirates and daddy said he would get us some more pirate stuff to play with. That would be cool.

Justin: Yeah cool.

MomnDad Talk

Aaron: I see you've talked to the boys about what they'd like. Little Safiya is still too young to tell us what she'd like so I'm stumped as to what we should do for her room.

Elia: Well I thought it'd be nice to give her a slightly feminine room since the rest of the house will have a more masculine feel. So pink and white would look good in her room.

Aaron: That sounds good honey. I'm sure Safiya will appreciate that when she grows up. Thank you for considering us for this opportunity. We look forward to seeing who wins.

Authors note: I created this family specifically for the House Those Sims contest at SimScribes. After playing them for about a couple sim days, I got a bit attahced and decided to allow them to become a part of my Sim neighborhood. So.. they will be in the new blog that I'm starting.

A preview

I have finally fixed my neighborhood and I am so happy about that. I am so attached to my families and can't wait to start playing them again. I'm also looking forward to the next EP, In Season. It'll make family life much more interesting.

And here is a little preview.

Happy Birthday Vanessa!

Happy young mother, not exactly.

I will post the intro for my neighborhood sometime soon.

ciao.

An apology

I know I don't have an audience yet and hopefully I will have one once I get started. I just wanted to let you (those who are aware of my blog) know that I will have to start over, ie. reinstall my game. And life has kinda bowled me over in a bad way so I'm not sure exactly when I'll be able to post.

But I do have a few ideas and it will most likely be better than what I had planned previously.

I'll be back as soon as I can.

ciao!

Problems in Simland

I'm encountering a probnlem with my neighborhood. Select sims are getting a perpetual blue bar. So I keep getting popups from the game saying that my sim has learned a skill even though they are not doing the activity needed to learn the skill. I really don't want to scrap the neighboor hood because I'm really attached to these sims. Also it seems to only be affecting sims that were born-in-game. I swear I will not give up a single sim unless there is no other choice.

So.. I'm not procrastinating with posting my first story. I'm just trying to fix this problem first.

Bye.

First Blog Ever!

This is the first time I've ever done a blog. I'm an avid Sims 2 player and located a few Sims 2 blogs that I thought were amazing. It was because of those blogs that a I plucked up the courage to start my own blog following the lives of my sims. I will most likely start posting those stories around the end of this month (maybe sooner, it depends).

Ciao!
